School Reminders
. School Pictures
On Tuesday, March 2, all children will have individual and group pictures taken. These are the photographs that will be use for our yearbook. We will start at 8:00 a.m. at the Rodney Parham location and 10:30 at the Hinson location. We usually take pictures outside if weather permits.
Yearbooks
Please order your yearbook and yearbook ads by Friday, March 12. If there is not enough interest in purchasing the school yearbook and ads, we will not be able to have a yearbook this year. This is not a fundraiser for the PTO. A copy of last year's yearbook is in the office. Please send in money when you place your orders and ads! Thank you in advance for your support.
Fall Registration
Last day to pre-register for the Fall 2010 school year will be Friday, February 26. If you register after that date there will be a $25 late fee. We will open the registration to the public on Monday, March 1.
Spring Break
The last week of March (22-26) is spring break. School will be closed. Extended care will be available for those that have signed up for these days. The sign-up sheet is located in the hallway. The last day to register for spring break is Friday, March 12. There is no charge for parents that are paying the extended care tuition rate, but you still have to sign up. There will be a charge for all other children.
12:30 pick up $25 per day
3:00 pick up $30 per day
After 3:15 pick up or before 7:30 drop off $35 per day
School and Extended Care will be closed on Friday, April 2 for Good Friday.

Dear Parents
We are so happy and excited to inform you that our school will have a second location as of January 4, 2010. The address is 12015 Hinson Road and is 1.2 miles from this school. It will be called Little Rock Montessori School South. It has a little over an acre so the back wooded area will be cleared for our playground. We will be remodeling to have two classrooms initially. The elementary students will be moving there and we will add another primary room. Ms. Chrystal Nave will be the lead teacher there with an assistant. This will help reduce the waiting list for the 3 to 6 year old children and have more room for our elementary. Obviously, we have a lot of details to work out but I'm sure that with everyone cooperating and helping, it will work out.
The Board of Directors at Little Rock Montessori School has worked very hard to see that this school continues to grow and progress. After reviewing all of our options at this location, the community and the city board were not going to work with us to expand. We appreciate the many families that have supported us in the past and presently. Without you, this expansion would not be possible.
We will make every effort to make this transition a smooth one. Please call or come by the office, if you have any questions. We will keep you informed on the progress on Hinson. Please drive by and we hope that you will be excited too.
Also, how about the new playground? The children and teachers love it. We will not have to close school due to flooding issues as the new retaining wall and concrete drainage will take care of that.
